We created a site that we envisioned to be easy to understand, use, and from which individuals and business would derive benefit. We wanted it to be highly interactive, streamlined, visual, and able to adapt to a range of devices from mobile to personal computers. We held thirteen feedback webinar sessions to demonstrate the functionality and obtain opinions from workforce professionals and community members. Page 1 of 22
Summary Each of the one-hour sessions occurred over a two-week period during business hours to allow the most participation and feedback. We invited workforce professionals and partners to attend, as well as community members. The webinars followed a format that included: An opening PowerPoint presentation included: The purpose of the website, The anticipated timeline, and Format of the webinar. Demonstration of each section as listed below. After each section demonstration, a series of polling questions were presented to the attendees to gauge Great, Good, or Bad impression of the segment, and Very Important, Important or Not Important of the components included in that segment. Overall Impression and Closing Comments Additional Feedback Included: Looking forward to the changes. Good to see social media section and resources to attach to our own sites. Like addition of pictures and illustrations. How will data be entered for an area? How to use this website video on homepage. More clean and concise logically organized. Like individuals dashboard, explore careers and job openings. Huge amount of information - complex for new users. Easier to find items on the website. So much information - overwhelming - confusing for customers not familiar with program Customers don't like to read. Overall better than current, daily customers will not use this site except for state wide list. Videos translated also. Reading level may be advanced. Great tool for people who are indecisive on future. Consider reaching out to ISBE to present to students beginning 10th grade. More links to the admin dashboard.
