ADDENDUM NO. 1 Coast Community College District Purchasing Department PROJECT: Architectural Services for Orange Coast College Student Union Project RFP NO: 2076 NOTICE TO PROPOSERS ON THE ABOVE PROJECT: This addendum forms a part of the contract documents and modifies the original bidding documents as noted below. Please acknowledge the receipt of this addendum in the space provided on the bid proposal. Failure to do so may subject the bidder to disqualification. This addendum consists of: BID RESPONSE DATE CHANGE The responses to the listed RFP has been extended until Monday, January 11, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS The RFP mentions the delivery method to be design-bid-build, but also asks for experience with multi prime delivery. Has the deliver method been selected? RFP Paragraph B Will the District conduct pre-qualification for General Contractors prior to the advertising for bid? RFP Paragraph D2 If pre-qualifications for General Contractors is conducted what will be the requirements? RFP Paragraph D2 If the delivery method will be multi prime: Will the District be hiring a Construction Manager? Yes Has the CM been selected? No If not, will the architect be involved in the selection of a qualified CM? No Would the CM provide coordination of all sub-contractors? No Will the CM provide Superintendents and Field Engineers for the coordination of the subcontractors? No Does the scope outlined in section D2. Bid Phase of the RFP refer to one or multiple bid packages? Standard Architectural Services Agreement (SASA) Paragraph 2.7.1 In Section D page 2 of the RFP Scope of Service D1. Design Phase, first bullet Assist in completion of programming with stakeholders. The programing Phase is not listed in any other Exhibit. i.e. Standard Service Agreement, Section 1.5 Completion Deadlines. Does not list Programing Phase. Section 2.5 Schematic Design Phase. Does not make any reference to the Programming Phase. Article 5: Compensation to the 5.2 Does not list the Programming Phase. Programming and Preliminary Design are linked services. Has there been any documents developed on the programing of the project. The RFP states to submit one (1) printed original, one (1) printed copy and one (1) electronic copy on a flash drive. Please clarify which is correct. Follow the RFP

Typically, architects do not manage multi-prime projects. Can you clarify the required experience as noted on page 4 of the RFP? The experience requirement will be working on all types of project delivery methods. Is there an anticipated project size? See Exhibit 1 and 2 Is there a geographic boundary or distance from the campus that constitutes local? Orange County. Will the union be operated by Orange Coast College or by students? Yes What is the projected size, location, and site limits of the project? See Exhibit 1 and 2 What area is being defined as local for the Local Business Participation requirement? Orange County. Is the District open to modifications to the Standard Architectural Services Agreement that was included in the RFP and if so, should the modifications be included in our proposal submission? No Can you provide a breakdown of the program elements to be included in the Union, including assignable S.F., and total building gross area?
