Family Birthing Center A great beginning.

With you for life. Birth is amazing. Miraculous. A time of anticipation, excitement and preparation. Will it be a boy or a girl? What s my birth plan? What hospital should I choose? At Trios Health, we believe giving birth should be a wonderful experience. Our Family Birthing Center offers the luxury of an upscale hotel, the privacy of home, and the reassurance of family closeness along with the highest standards of medical care. No matter what you need in the process of welcoming this new little life into the world, Trios is here for you.

Relax and enjoy. How suite it is. Walk in and you may wonder how this could be a hospital room. Natural woods and soft lights create an atmosphere of warmth and tranquility. Each of our 18 private suites has a rocking chair specially designed for your comfort, a sofa for family members, built-in video system, refrigerator, and a private bath with whirlpool tub or hydrotherapy shower. Tucked out of view, highly advanced medical equipment stands ready and waiting. It s a very special place for a very special time. It s a family affair. Trios Health is all about family, so we ve designed an environment that supports family closeness and participation. If you wish, family members are welcome to be by your side before, during, or after birth. They may take photos or videos capturing those first special moments, as long as you and your physician agree. For time spent waiting outside the birthing suite, we offer two family areas for adults and children, one with a cozy fireplace and both with TVs. There s plenty of comfortable seating, snacks and refreshments, and a state-of-the-art security system that assures everyone s safety.

Little ones are our specialty. Acclaimed medical care. The physicians, anesthesiologists, midwives and nurses who care for you and your baby at Trios Health have been chosen for their specialized expertise in labor, pain management, advanced fetal monitoring, newborn assessment and postpartum support. Their medical skill combined with personalized, compassionate care is why our Center is consistently ranked in the top two percent nationwide for customer satisfaction. Breastfeeding made easy. Trios offers instruction and resources for women who choose to breastfeed. Even though it s natural, it s something you and your baby have to learn together. We understand it can take patience and persistence, so we re here for you. Our lactation specialists are available for complimentary consultations on a daily basis.

Special Care Nursery. At Trios Health, we believe in getting every baby off to the best possible start. Sometimes this involves highly specialized care and additional time at the hospital. For these cases we offer a 10- bed, certified Level 2A nursery with the latest technologies and procedures to assist newborns who have been born early, but greater than 34 weeks gestation, or who have medical problems that do not require urgent care. All nurses and caregivers in our Special Care Nursery are professionally trained in caring for ailing or premature babies in this secure and loving environment. Safe in our hands.

Pre-birth classes. We encourage you to attend our comprehensive childbirth education course taught by Trios Health labor and delivery nurses. Learn what to expect throughout the birth experience and how to make it a positive one. Classes will cover the role of your support person, pain relief options, effective breathing and relaxation techniques, newborn care and safety, infant feeding choices and postpartum considerations. Visit our website for class schedules and registration at trioshealth.org. We re here for you. Post-birth support. At Trios, we re here for you and your baby even after you leave the hospital. You ll go home with information and instructions (in English or Spanish) that will help you in many ways. In addition, we recommend our infant and child CPR class to anyone who will be caring for your baby. Feel free to call us anytime with any concern. Our nurses and lactation specialists are available to answer your questions and help ease the transition at home. Come take a tour. We invite you to take a personalized tour and discover what makes the Trios experience so special. Our friendly staff will walk you through the Family Birthing Center while discussing your birthing options and answering any questions. We ll send you home with a gift of our Resource Guide for Expectant Moms to help you prepare. To schedule your private tour, please call 509-221-BABY (2229). We look forward to sharing this amazing experience with you. To schedule your private tour, please call 509-221-BABY (2229).
