Spring 2018 On-Campus Big 4 Public Accounting Internship Recruiting Calendar (9.27.17 JF) 1. Deloitte, EY,, and PwC. 2. It is the responsibility of each firm to inform all of its recruiting representatives of this calendar. 3. This calendar applies to 3 rd -year MPA students (graduation dates: August 2019, December 2019, May 2020, and August 2020) going through spring 2018 recruiting for internships in spring and summer 2019. The public accounting firms listed above have extremely limited availability for summer internships. Students who are interested in summer internships are encouraged to explore other industries that offer internships during the summer. This calendar does not apply to 3 rd -year students who will be off-campus during spring 2018 campus recruiting or other MPA students. 4. This calendar applies to all public accounting firms noted above. There are other public accounting firms who recruit on campus. These firms are not restricted to the public accounting firm recruiting calendar and may interview on campus when it is most conducive to their business needs. Students are encouraged to consult the On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) system for the recruiting dates and deadlines for the public accounting firms not noted in this calendar. All public accounting firms not noted in the public accounting firm recruiting calendar are invited to participate in events sponsored by the MPA Program Office. 5. Firms that make Fall 2018, Spring 2019, or Summer 2019 internship offers to prospective or current third-year MPA students who attended special programs such as leadership programs must keep those offers open until June 4th, 2018. 6. During the office visit period, firms may only conduct office visits; all other recruiting activities are prohibited. 7. The term No Contacts means that firms shall not initiate contact with students, unless the contact is for administrative purposes, such as coordinating office visit schedules and logistical details. 8. EY,, PwC, and Deloitte will refrain from sending out recruiting event or office visit invitations until the first workday after first round interviews. 9. Protected evenings for Deloitte, EY, and PwC will begin no earlier than 6:00 p.m. All evening events and individual contacts will end by 10:00 p.m. 10. Firms will not make internship offers (whether verbal or written) until May 7th. Offers for internships must remain open for a minimum of seven (7) business days or June 4th, 2018, whichever date is later. 11. Students are required to abide by the McCombs Career Services Code of Ethics: http://fcc.mccombs.utexas.edu/code_ethics.asp 12. The Accounting Department policy is that recruiting activities are not a legitimate excuse for missing class. 13. Firms will not conduct recruiting activities, regardless of the amount of students involved, if the activity is not explicitly listed on this calendar.
