Faculty will discuss a systematic approach to transition to practice and workforce development that results in competent practice impacting safe, quality care and fostering resilience. FACULTY Paula Bishop, MSN, RN, CNOR, is a manager on the performance and outcomes team at Versant Holdings, LLC where she partners with clients to support transition to practice and role development programs. Her nursing career has spanned many years and many areas, including staff nurse, nursing education and administration with a focus on perioperative nursing. Amy Myers, BSN, RN, is the RN residency coordinator at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. She oversees the transition of new graduate nurses from academia to professional practicing clinical nurses. Amy draws from her 26 years of nursing experience to propel new graduates into cultivating a servant s heart centered practice. Her passion is influencing the next generation of nurses during their journey to grow their nursing career and discover their professional purpose. Ruth Milbourn, BSN, RN-BC, is the residency coordinator in the System Nursing Development department for the Baptist Health Education Center in Little Rock. Diane Sieg, BSN, RN, CYT, CSP, is the owner of Personal Balance in Denver, CO. She worked as an emergency room nurse in hospitals across the country for 23 years. She has been speaking professionally for the last 21 years, is the author of two books and creator of the Resilience Academy. Jayne Willingham, MN, RN, CPHQ, having been with Vizient since July 1995, is responsible for executing the strategic vision for nursing and clinical team thought leadership, programs, resources and tools that help Vizient members achieve enhanced levels of nursing competency, capability and leadership resulting in improvements in clinical and operational outcomes. She also provides strategic leadership and direction for nursing programs. Jayne has over 35 years of health care experience. Jayne is currently licensed as a Professional Nurse in Louisiana and has achieved certification in healthcare quality. She is a member of the National Association of Healthcare Quality and the Louisiana Organization of Nurse Executives. Jayne earned a diploma in nursing from Charity Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from William Carey College and a Master of Nursing degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center. Any hospital interested in presenting a poster presentation related to resiliency in nursing should use the following criteria for their poster. Posters should include: Freestanding display board or 3-fold cardboard display Title of presentation & organization/individuals involved in resiliency One-page summary handout outlining resiliency practice If you plan to present a poster, please indicate your participation in the poster contest on the registration form attached to this brochure. Participants will be required to have their posters displayed by 8:30 a.m. the day of the conference. Conference participants will vote on the poster that demonstrates the best overall resiliency in nursing.
