This chapter describes how staff can rank résumés according to criteria they select, which enables them to search for candidates. To work with résumés, select Manage Résumés from the Navigation pane or the Services for Staff menu screen. From this screen, staff can: Create a Résumé Open an individual s Résumés tab and create a résumé for that individual. Search for Résumés Perform an advanced search for potential candidates résumés, which can include ranking search results by select search parameters. Match Résumés to a Job Select a job order whose requirements pre-fill search criteria for the advanced résumé search option. Manage Résumé Screen Create a Résumé The Create a Résumé menu option is a shortcut staff can use to search for an individual and open the Résumé Builder wizard on the individual s Résumé tab. The first step is to search for and select an individual (as described in the topic Assisting an Individual in chapter 3). On the Résumés tab, click the Create New Résumé button to start the Résumé Builder wizard. Search for Résumés The Search for Résumés menu option opens a résumé the Advanced Résumé Search screen. The Résumé Search tabs also are accessible through the Candidate Search option when staff are assisting an employer. The Résumé Search screens allow staff to search for potential candidates using ranking and filtering criteria, as well as specific staff criteria. Staff can choose from dozens of filter criteria to narrow the prospective candidate list and see a ranking of how well the candidates meet the criteria. Match Résumés to a Job The Match Résumés to a Job option lets staff search for a specific job order and search for résumés that match the job order s requirements. The Job Order Search screen contains dozens of criteria by which to search, divided on the screen into sections. Some of these sections are shown in the figures below. Job Orders Search Screen (Partial) Enter at least one search criteria item and click the Search button. Note: If the system finds no matching job orders, it will alert that no job orders match the criteria. Select a job order by clicking the Job Title link on the Search Results screen. The Job Order screen will display (as shown below). Job Order Details Screen (Partial) To find candidates whose résumés match the job order, click the Refer Candidate(s) link or the Search Candidate(s) link at the bottom of the Job Order screen. Refer Candidates Job Order Screen Refer Candidates & Search Candidates Links You may select one or more job orders, and identify candidates to be referred to the employer. For a single job order, you may use the Refer Candidate(s) link located at the bottom of the Job Order Details page. To refer candidates to more than one job, return to the Job Order Search results screen; then select the checkboxes for the job orders and click the Refer link at the bottom of the Select column. Job Order Search Results Screen Refer Multiple Jobs The Job Order(s) you selected will display at the top of the Referral Search screen. The Referral Search screen offers two methods for identifying the candidates you want to refer to the employer. To search for candidates who have résumés saved in the system, click the Search Résumés button. To search for candidates, regardless of whether or not they have résumés saved in the system, click the Search Candidates button. Résumé Search Screen Selecting the Search Résumés button on the Jobs to be Referred screen will open the Advanced Résumé Search screen with an option to prefill the search criteria fields with data pulled from the job order. To have the system prefill the search criteria fields: Select the job order from the Job Order(s) to Refer drop-down list. Click the Prefill Criteria button. Advanced Résumé Search Prefill Criteria Button Continue selecting search criteria manually, if needed. Click the Search button to begin the résumé search. Search Candidates If the Search Candidate(s) link was chosen (at the bottom of the Job Order screen), the Advanced Résumé Search screen will open with many of the fields prefilled, based on information the system pulled from the job order. Continue selecting search criteria, if needed, and click the Search button to begin the candidate search.
