Saskatchewan Prairie Lily Create Story January 31, 2018 CONTENT HERE PC Message Welcome to the first edition of the new Prairie Lily for Guiders format. The staff and Provincial Council have made the commitment to work hard to make this communication tool concise, relevant and timely and hope that it meets your expectations. I encourage you to send in pictures and articles to the Provincial Office whenever your unit or district holds an event or girl opportunity so that we can highlight all the great experiences that happen in the province. Submission dates for the Prairie Lily have changed to the 20 of each month with the release date on the last day of the month. Advisers will continue to provide tips, resources and information on upcoming events. Area related information will be posted from both areas so that all are in the know of everything happening in the province. Provincial Council will pass on National updates and information in a more organized manner. We welcome your feedback and encourage you to make the Prairie Lily even better than it already was! They were learning about electricity this particular evening. The girls worked in pairs to make a small light bulb work with an AA battery. They enjoyed trying to figure out how to make it light up.

Save the Date - March 16-18, 2018 Province - wide hockey weekend in Saskatchewan. We are looking at having a province - wide hockey weekend in March. Our goal is to have you go out and support your WHL team or local team. Watch for more information to come. In December Rainbow District First Weyburn Guide Unit had a Cultural Christmas Dinner. The local English as a Second Language (ESL) students joined us and brought a dish from their home country that they would have during Christmas or celebration. Each of the Guides also brought a dish and the unit provided the traditional turkey, stuffing, potatoes, etc. It was a great evening filled with lots of food and they learned lots about other countries. The girls were full of questions and really open to trying new foods. Our Sympathies to the Lorraine Vinterlik family and friends. Lorraine (Long Lake District) was a member for 61 years and became a Honourary Life Member in 2000. Our Sympathies to Linette Plant and her family with the passing of her mother Noreen Plant.
