Practitioners From a patient point of view it is excellent because the patients have the freedom to live their life I think it is an excellent system. They also like to have the equipment there because if they are unwell outside of monitoring times they can self-initiate a test and that can guide their selfmanagement What People Say Service Users I have been able to take readings when on holiday and to report the readings via internet. I am very satisfied about the way the system is operated. There must be a saving in NHS staff time, indeed in my time, rather than having to attend clinic for INR assessment I believe this to be a very effective way of monitoring the patient providing there is a well trained back up from healthcare staff and not merely a cost cutting exercise
Does it work? Feedback for a tech augmented future (N=97) 85% Patients indicated reduced GP attendance 90% Patients indicated reduced HCP attendance 46% worried about being given tech to self care 93% found the tech easy to use 64% more interested in tech since using it in HC 75 % more tech in future service Optimisation of Remote Vital Sign Telemonitoring Data Collection conducted by J Walkden, Prof Kernohan & Dr P McCullagh.

Conclusion Style of SBRI that embeds co-creation and iterative design Really understands the issues first so that a laboratory solution is not just given to practitioners to use Sense of ownership and commitment Patient Centric with a shared vision of technology enabled empowerment for independent care and self-management.
