GENERAL OVERVIEW The 6 th AASIC (Asian Academic Society International Conference), at Mae Fah Luang University (M-Square Building) in Chiang Rai Thailand. Background AASIC (Asian Academic Society International Conference) was initiated by PERMITHA (Overseas Indonesian Student Association in Thailand), fully supported by the Indonesian Embassy for the Republic of Indonesia for the Kingdom of Thailand in Bangkok (KBRI Bangkok), with the ultimate goal to provide a channel to share experience and knowledge among students in ASEAN countries. Each year, AASIC will have a Thai prominent university to become the host for the event. The list of the hosts are: 1 st AASIC at Prince of Songkhla University in Hatya, South Thailand. 2 nd AASIC at Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Central Thailand. 3 rd AASIC at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Central Thailand. 4 th AASIC at Mahidol University in Salaya, Central Thailand. 5 th AASIC at Khon Kaen University in Khon Kaen, Northeast Thailand. Host for the 6 th AASIC 2018 This year, Mae Fah Luang University, located in the northern most part of Thailand, will be the host for this annual international conference. Supported by PERMITHA (Indonesian students association in Thailand) and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia for the Kingdom of Thailand, this event will bring together all academicians from around the world. Objectives This conference wishes to respond to globalization challenges by continuously provide a medium to share knowledge and experiences in the field of science/technology, hospitality industry, health, and humanities. Theme and Sub-Themes Following the trace of Thailand 4.0 concept, the international conference aims to understand the pattern of transformation occurred not only in Thailand, but also in ASEAN and global world in particular. To achieve recognition, The 6th AASIC holds a central theme, A Transformative Community: Asia in Dynamism, Innovation, and Globalization. Special Workshop "Academic Writing and Publication" Dr. Prarthana Coffin, Assistant Dean of School of Liberal Arts, Mae Fah Luang University Publications Abstracts received will be peer-reviewed to be selected as panels in oral presentation sessions. The notification of acceptance will be given on 31 August 2018. All selected abstracts will be printed in an abstract book that will be given to all participants during the registration time in the first day of the conference. All selected participants in oral presentation sessions must submit their full paper no later than 15 October 2018. All full papers will be peer-reviewed and published into proceeding book (with ISBN).
