Activities: Gujarat Cancer Society Research Journal is a biannually (April and October) peerreviewed journal published by the Gujarat Cancer Society (formerly published as GCS Research Bulletin). Journal represents academic as well as basic, clinical and clinico-basic research carried out by the staff of the GCRI and GCS during the preceding period starting from publication of the last issue. It generally comprises of invited review articles, publish oration speech, scienti ic papers anecdotal reports, summaries of paper and articles published in various journals and other scienti ic publications, as well as an account of the work presented in the clinical meetings and journal clubs. The frequency of publication is intended to be increased. It should be able to promote the cause of oncology in the country and also abroad, simultaneously projecting the work, the workers, the work-place and the warehouse. Activities: The irst meeting of Women Grievance Cell was held under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Ameeben Yajnik (Advocate of High Court) On October 6, 2012 at GCRI. The social worker Ms. Bhartiben Parikh, and GCRI members and advisors remained present. The chairperson conveyed that according to Vishakha s Judgment of Supreme Court the Cell should consist of 7 members - One Chairperson, three women members (one social worker and two from the organisation) and three men members. The proactive role of the committee is to enroll complain of staff member/s related to Gender discrimination, mental harassment and sexual harassment. Patients complains should also be enrolled if the incident is happened in hospital premises. The complainer should submit the complaint form to the cell and verbal complaints can also be entertained. Each complaint should be registered and number should be given accordingly. Two members can irst inquire about the complaint and then can be discussed with the other members of the cell. This cell should meet once in two or three months.
