Prince George County Police Department News In Partnership With The Community Volume 3, Issue 3 March 2018 February 2018 Employee of the Month Please join us in congratulating Officer Alexis Grochmal and Sergeant Chris Douglas as our February 2018 Employees of the Month. On February 8, the Prince George County Police Department was awarded its first Re-Accreditation at a meeting of the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission (VLEPSC) in Manassas, Virginia. In addition, our agency was recognized for having full compliance with all 190 applicable standards. Whereas our flawless reaccreditation was the culmination of hard work from every member of our PGPD Team, Alexis and Chris were tasked with managing all aspects of this process. Their talents, dedication and hard work were on display during our assessment. Alexis was tasked with becoming our new Accreditation Manager about halfway through our past term; Chris, without any hesitation, supported this transition. Alexis learned her new role very rapidly, and she did not waste any time progressing processes. Chris continued to be intimately involved, and within the past year, he attained Master Assessor status for the Commission. This status enables Chris to lead teams that are responsible for assessing other departments during their accreditation processes. I could not be more proud of the teamwork that these two officers exemplify. Please join us in congratulating Officer Grochmal and Sergeant Douglas for a job very well done! Newsletter 1
