You can contact John at jdistefano@qcc.org BLESSING OF THE MANGER On the Third Sunday of Advent traditionally known as a Sunday of great joy (Gaudate Sunday), the children in the city of Rome journey to St. Peter Square carrying their image of the Christ Child from their nativity for a blessing by the Pope. This blessing extends not only to the image, but to the family in which the crib is displayed. In keeping with this tradition, all are invited to bring their infant Jesus image to church the weekend of, Dec. 16/17 for a Christmas blessing as we prepare for the birth of Christ.
