Curriculum vitae of Marie Launay Executive director Euro Project Consult Formation : MA Geography and Regional Planning University of Rennes II, 1998 D.E.S.S Local development, space planning and landscape dynamics University François Rabelais of Tours, 1996 Marie is an expert in space planning and local development strategies. Since 1997, Marie has developed and managed sustainable development European projects, notably in the fields of transport, energy, environment and regional development. First established as independent, Marie has developed suitable assistance to local authorities and other sustainable development stakeholders in France. She worked in an association of elected representatives, in charge of the development of European cooperation, with numerous successful projects, notably in CIVITAS (clean urban transport and sustainable mobility), CONCERTO (energy efficiency integration and renewable energies) and INTERREG IV Atlantic Area. She joined the british consultancy Transport & Travel Research in November 2004, in charge of CIVITAS II SUCCESS project coordination for the Communauté d Agglomération of La Rochelle (FR), with Preston (RU) and Ploiesti (RO). She was also in charge of INTERREG IIIB PARTNER project developing the access to trans-european transports networks and in the establishment of a TTR office in France. There, she supervised the European projects MIDAS (IEE), PASDEL (LEONARDO) and PRACTISE (Promoting Reproducible Actions in the Communities To Improve Sustainable Energy); she also assisted several local authorities for CIVITAS, and CONCERTO proposal building and more recently Countries and local council communities for soft mobility and demand responsive transport. Marie created the Euro Project Consult Company in October 2008 which has an important success rate in getting European financing toward French and European local authorities. She notably worked with the regions of Brittany, Lower and Upper Normandy, Seine Maritime County Council (INTERREG IVB Start) and supervised the preparation of the INTERREG IV B SITE project led by Nantes Métropole. Since the project selection, EPC is in charge of day-to-day project management, partnership monitoring and

dissemination strategy implementation. Now, Marie is starting - as part of the CAPITAL SSA project - a new Era for the CIVINETs, National City networks of CIVITAS that she created and managed for several years with the competency of facilitating and making effective the transfer of know-how between peers. In her previous positions, Marie acquired a huge experience in partnership organisation, Europeans politics, territorial diagnosis and strategic development (space planning and socio-economy), socio-economic evaluation of environmental programmes, information and consultation of stakeholders and users. Marie has been assisting the Pays de la Loire Region in the management of its partnership Destineo and is coordinating the work of various actors from different cultures in a lot of research and network projects. Marie is used to work in France and in Europe with different actors including local authorities, governmental agencies, associations and private companies. She also conducted on site evaluation and developed information and consultation tools for sustainable development stakeholders.
