HSE ONE DAY EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (EFAW) Course Overview This one day course has been designed to meet all of the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course covers all of the necessary theory and practical skills that you may need if you are asked to care for someone who has a sudden illness or an injury. Who should attend This course is ideal if your staff need to be trained as HSE Emergency First Aiders or if you would like to attend a comprehensive emergency aid course for any other reason. Many people attend the course simply because they want to know how to do basic first aid in an emergency. What you will learn The course will give you and/or your employees the essential knowledge, practical skills and confidence to deal with any injury (or sudden illness) in a safe, prompt and effective way. Learning Group The maximum number of people that the HSE allows on a course is twelve per instructor. However, our experienced instructors teach smaller (e.g. four to six people) and larger groups. Whatever the situation you can be assured that our instructors will adapt to the learning group and ensure that every course participant understands all of the theory and is 100% proficient..

WHY CHOOSE OUR TRAINING COURSES? Our INSTRUCTORS AND ASSESSORS are mainly HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS who also hold a nationally recognised adult teaching and assessing qualification. Our Paramedics and Operating Department Practitioner instructors are all HCPC registered (see the logo below) with the Health Care and Professions Council, our nurse tutors are registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and our doctors with the General Medical Council. Please note that we generally use experienced PARAMEDICS to teach our courses rather than non-professional first aid instructors who are used by the majority of first aid training providers. This obviously means that all of our course participants benefit considerably from the essential real-life practical EXPERIENCE and greater KNOWLEDGE of our healthcare professionals. We are also able to teach everyone from NOVICES to HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. That is, unlike the majority of training providers, we are able to deliver professional courses at ANY LEVEL. We therefore teach a wide range of learning groups ranging from school children to groups of doctors who obviously need a much higher level of training.

Why choose Alpha training courses? CONTINUED We deliver courses ANY DAY OF THE WEEK at no additional cost and we can guarantee that you will receive a top quality course at a TIME and PLACE that suits you and your staff.
