The week of June 17th to 22nd, we are turning Maryhill PURPLE to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease. Wear purple all week! In conjunction with National Alzheimer s Disease Remembrance The Candle A symbol of hope A ray of light A source of warmth A candle can be a source of peace During a time of remembrance. Light one in your loved one s memory Whenever you need warmth and light. Let it give you hope. For even after a candle is snuffed out, It can be re-lit. Page 3 Summer Courtyard Bonfires are held every Wednesday night in the courtyard weather permitting. This is a long-time tradition for residents and families. New this year Maryhill Music Series is scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. We have had such a good response, we re working on additional dates. See our Facebook page for updates and upcoming entertainment. These events will happen rain or shine as we will move into the chapel/multipurpose room. Here is just a peek at what is coming! Bring your lawn chair! Tuesday, July 10 More to come on this band, but for now we can tell you that they play music from the Eagles and the Beatles! Tuesday, June 12 The Transformational Band, which includes members of the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford, play during services as well as several other events during the year. The band plays a variety of gospel tunes both sacred and contemporary and classic rock numbers. Tuesday, August 14 The Maynard s Band from Marquette are an Old-Time Rock & Roll Dance Band, playing a variety of songs from the History of Rock & Roll music. Doo-Wop to Folk-Rock to Beatles and Classic Rock. See their Facebook page to see them performing all over Marquette and surrounding counties.
