ABOUT THE EDC The Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) is a place that is conceived by the Chandigarh Administration in the prospering Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park (RGCTP) to enhance the export of the software export from Chandigarh and to assist young professionals in setting up their entrepreneurship by providing shell space or space with plug n play facilities in a state of the art environment friendly and an intelligent building. The project has been conceived as a transit point for the IT software export companies that are willing to come to the park, but as yet does not have a fully developed building of their own, or their built to suite plot is not yet constructed. This will also have the administrative offices of the IT dept that will be more accessible and approachable for the IT companies in the vicinity. An architect/interior Designer to be empanelled to get the Co-working area aesthetically designed. 3rd Floor has been earmarked for setting up the Co-Working space, which is completely a vacant/unfurnished area at present. Co-Working concept is a quiet popular to meet today s activity based requirement for focus talent groups which is gaining momentum at a fast pace in business world. The trend is moving towards creating beautiful well designed functional spaces that encourage collaboration and appealing to all segment of focus talent groups. In sync with the current trend in the Co-Working spaces, it is imperative that Co-working space at EDC Building should also have plush and ergonomic ambiance at par with the competition. 1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1.1 Please read terms and conditions carefully before filling up the Annexures. 1.2 Before submitting the RFP, Annexures to be attached may be verified. 1.3 All pages of the RFP document must be signed by the authorized signatory and sealed with the stamp of the bidding firm as token of having accepted all the terms and conditions of this RFP. 1.4 RFP shall be submitted in official RFP form only. If submitted in any other form the same shall be summarily rejected.. 1.5 No paper shall be detached from the RFP. Page 3 of 10
1.6 The name and address of the bidder shall be clearly written in the space provided and no overwriting, correction, insertion shall be permitted in any part of the Annexures. 1.7 Person signing the bid or other documents connected with the RFP must clearly write his/her name and also specify the capacity in which signing. 1.8 SPIC reserves the right to reject any or all the RFPs without assigning any reason. 1.9 Before submitting the filled-in RFP document to the SPIC, the bidders may seek clarifications, if any, from administrative department of SPIC on Tel 0172-2970450, 2970451 or in person by visiting the SPIC office in EDC Building during working hours between 9:30 am to 6:00 pm `by taking prior appointment. 1.10 SPIC reserves the right to change any condition of the RFP before opening of the bids. 2. EMD Cover i. EMD cover should contain EMD of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) in the form of demand draft from any nationalized bank or by bankers cheque in the favour of SPIC payable at Chandigarh. The RFP without prepayment of EMD will be out rightly rejected. ii. EMD amount will be refunded to unsuccessful bidder. iii. EMD will be liable to be forfeited if the Vendor selected for the work fails to start the work on the date stipulated in the work order. iv. The EMD remitted will not bear any interest for the period retained by the SPIC. 3. TERMS & CONDITIONS:- 1. Architect /Interior Designer should have minimum 5 years of experience especially of designing and planning interior spaces in reputed IT Organization. 2. The Architect /Interior Designer should be registered with the Council of Architecture. 3. Architect /Interior Designer should have an office in tri-city. 4. The Architect /Interior Designer will give a detailed presentation before a selection committee about his profile and relevant projects implemented for reputed IT companies 5. The Architect /Interior Designer will present plan/methodology for execution of the coworking project at EDC. 4. SCOPE OF WORK 1. The Co-working start-up area to be created in 5000+ sq.ft area on third floor of EDC building. Page 4 of 10
2. Space would be converted to co-working area in a phased manner. Ready to move in space to be created initially for 20 seats in the first phase which would gradually be increased up to 80 seats in the second phase. 3. Separate space to be created in the Co-working area for conference room, discussion room and sitting area etc. 4. The Interior design should be in sync with the current trend in the Co-Working spaces and should provide the opportunity to work with maximum flexibility while enjoying benefits of the modern and professional business environment. 5. The IT Infrastructure / workstation would be to be procured for co-working area by SPIC/DIT under the supervision of selected Architect /Interior Designer. 6. The Architect /Interior Designer will provide 3-4 sets of layout/sketch of co-working area with latest CAD software for eg. Autocad, sketchup etc. 7. The design approved by competent authority will only be implemented in the co-working space. 8. The Architect /Interior Designer will have to prepare the detailed documentation to execute the work and will also be responsible for overall management the entire development. 9. The Architect /Interior Designer may also be assigned any other work such as architectural work at IT Pak as well as Urban Planning work. 5. TIME-LINES S.N. Particulars 1 The Architect /Interior Designer will provide 3-4 sets of layout/sketch of co-working area with latest CAD software for eg. Autocad, sketchup etc. 2.
