Courses are available to both local and international students. is available through Part-time, Full-time and Correspondence delivery, with colleges located in Belmont, Malaga, Bunbury, Mandurah and Geraldton. Our organization has been training since 1999 and is committed to the provision of quality Vocational Education and, establishing careers, securing employment and University pathways for further education. We are very proud of our recent achievement in being awarded WA International Provider of the Year in 2015 and Finalist in 2016. We have also previously won the Small Provider of the Year 2002 and Finalist 2003, 2004 (Commendation), 2005, 2007; and Finalist in the International Provider of the Year 2010, 2011 and 2014 at the Department of and Workforce Development Excellence Awards. Why One of the reasons for our success is our unique collaboration and partnership between the industry, students and our wonderful talented Staff. We endeavour to provide creative delivery and engaging learning by including in our Health and Dental courses: Real practical health training in clinical environments, access to online learning with modules and power points, First Aid or First Response, guest lectures, excursions to institutions and suppliers, infection control, hand hygiene training, dental health education, and for those looking for a specific intro into Nursing medical terminology, and variety of Acute Care units. To complement our excursions, we have our own 22 seater bus. The learning experiences which your students will receive are: challenging, rewarding, interesting, practical, total quality wrapped in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The courses are designed to include a variety of learning strategies to: individuals and group learning styles prepare you for your role as a member of a working team focus on the required practical skills for the qualification Students from all over the world attend our programmes with a range of learning styles, needs and expectations. We commenced training VET in School students in 2012 and continue to teach school based students in our city and regional campuses. We endeavour to support and quality assure VET-in-Schools programs being delivered in Western Australia. DELIVERY METHODS Model 1 by at the College or School Students attend face to face training at one of the campuses or at a school based location. The Nationally Recognised programmes teach industry skills directly to students using our existing facilities. We provide documentation / orientation for courses, course information document, student handbook, training and assessment strategy, evidence mapping, physical resources when required, learning modules, assessment material and task, advice /guidance and training to teachers assisting with this model, dedicated lecturers and assessors on site or off site of school, Assist work experience placements, on line access, communication channel with school personnel. The Schools Involvement The school provides a support and communication channel role between staff, students and parents; and appropriate training facilities if school based training is arranged. Sign off on our already developed partnership MOU, Knowledge of basic understanding of Standards for 2015, Open communication, assist us with motivation and ensuring students attend classes, working together with roles, enrolments, orientation day, assist with moderation and auditing of training for QA, Assist with students having difficulties, assist with student performance reports, Participate in the Certificate handing out ceremony, assist with communication with parents and staff involved. Model 2 Auspicing arrangements at School with support Under an Auspice Model, all the training and assessment is undertaken by the school. The ensures that the training and assessment that the school undertakes meets the requirements of the Standards for s. The issues the qualifications and/or Statements of Attainment. It involves a number of stages: 1. Teacher Orientation and Induction at the beginning of the year 2. All Documentation for each course including: a) and Assessment Strategy (teacher s guide and program) b) Evidence Matrix c) Physical Resources checklists d) Teachers Record Sheets e) Approval form for teachers f) All assessments and tasks g) Student Information / Orientation Booklet 3. Progress visit first semester 4. Moderation visit second semester 5. Advice and guidance to the teachers on training packages, selection of units, delivery methods, assessment methods, learning resources and implementation of the program in the schools. 6. Resources that we have developed for teachers are able to be ordered by email, fax or phone. 7. We arrange a dedicated support officer for your school. 8. Communication is the secret to success. The Schools Involvement 1. Complete customized and ready templates of documents as required 2. Select the units of competency you wish to deliver 3. Access the resource materials from our Organization 4. Deliver and assess the units of competency 5. Follow the procedures in our information manuals and organization policy documents 6. Communicate with when required 7. Request personal support when required 8. Assist in quality assurance and validation processes when required 9. Commence delivery when your feel comfortable to start and students orientated 10. Provide us with copies of your qualifications of your staff matrix to deliver. 11. Provide us with copies of your tasks and assessments, will require to be validated. 12. Send your enrolments and results to using ENVET or RSVET reports from Curriculum Council. (VET coordinator s role) Other courses English as a second language - additional support service available. Numerous short courses can be customized to schools needs eg: Job Ready programmes. Include: First Aid, Safety cards (White card), WHS safety in the workplace etc Units can be selected from specific courses and also be delivered. All courses are Nationally Recognized. We have the Staff and flexibility to add additional courses to our scope, to provide additional customized programmes and services for Schools. Teacher s qualifications All trainers and assessors are required to have: Certificate IV in and Assessment TAE40110 or equivalent; Vocationally competent at least to the level being delivered and assessed; Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; and Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs their training and assessment. Under auspicing arrangements we would be required to ensure all your staff meet these requirements. This can be delivered through the provision of qualifications, and CV indicating experience in the field of study. Scanned, faxed or photocopied copies of qualifications will be accepted as long as the principal has sighted originals and signed off as true and correct. This is then filed along with the completion of the staff matrix mapped against the competencies to be delivered for that particular qualification. This will ensure each Lecturer and Assessor are validated to deliver the training programme. These completed templated documents for your convenience are to be returned to. CERT III IN DENTAL LABORATORY ASSISTING HLT35115 DESCRIPTION Students will learn the role of a dental laboratory assistant who are responsible for pouring impressions, producing custom-made trays, manufacturing occlusal registration rims, transferring oral records, articulating models for a range of prostheses, and constructing mouth guards.
