Chief of the Criminal Division, August 2008 - February 2009 - The Criminal Division Chief has the responsibility for the overall supervision of the Criminal Division. The Criminal Division is the largest division in the United States Attorneys Office and is responsible for the prosecution of all federal offenses within this District. The Criminal Division includes: (1) a General Crimes Section, which prosecutes cases involving violent crime, bank robberies, guns, illegal narcotics, and other federal crimes; (2) a White Collar Crime Section, which prosecutes cases of financial fraud, civil rights violations, health care fraud, public corruption, and environmental crimes; and (3) a Narcotics and the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force section, which prosecutes violations of the narcotics laws by large, multi-jurisdictional organizations. The Criminal Division Chief supervises 23 attorneys and 16 support personnel. The Criminal Division Chief directly supervises the section supervisors and is the reviewing official for all attorney and support positions within the Criminal Division.
