Culinary :: Meatless Meals Create awesome recipes without meat! The less meat is consumed, the less the need for intensive farming of animals and the fewer the number of animals raised on factory farms. For an entire month, create four meatless meals for your family members, friends or yourself. Take before (ingredients)-and-after (food presentation) photos of yourself at each meal. Share and tag ACRES #EndAnimalCruelty and #ACRES) during your live feeds via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Remember to add the dish name, recipe, and website s address/reference! 3 hours per meal. Your efforts will be recognised if you take a screen shot of your live feeds sharing and email it to us at info@acres.org.sg Share the photo AND your recipe with us via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter as your Live Feed, and tag us. At the same time, add #EndAnimalCruelty and #ACRES to raise more awareness.

Culinary :: Shake It Up! Create tasty and healthy drink/ dessert without dairy! Dairy cows are often confined in enclosed area with limited access to outdoors for socializing or grazing naturally in the grasslands (often referred as factory farms.). To produce milk, she must give birth to a calf. Yet the calf will be separated from its mother right after birth. Poor-welfare in factory farming caused most cows suffer from lameness and other painful conditions. The less milk is consumed, the less the need for the cows to be raised in the factory farms. For an entire month, create four dairy-free smoothies/ desserts for your family members, friends or yourself. Take before (ingredients) -and-after (food presentation) photos of yourself for each smoothie/dessert. Share and tag ACRES during your live feeds via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Remember to add the smoothie/ dessert name, recipe, and website s address/reference! 2 hours per smoothie/ dessert. Your efforts will be recognised if you take a screen shot of your live feeds sharing and email it to us at info@acres.org.sg Share the photo AND your recipe with us via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter as your Live Feed, and tag us. At the same time, add #EndAnimalCruelty and #ACRES to raise more awareness

Culinary :: Eat it RawR! Create meatless and dairy-free yummy food! Think unprocessed and uncooked food. Heating food destroys its nutrients and natural enzymes. Enzymes help to boost digestion and fight chronic disease. Healthy eating, healthy you. Meatless and diary-free meal also help to lessen the need for intensive farming of animals and the fewer the number of animals raised on factory farms. For an entire month, create four raw-food meal for your family members, friends or yourself. Take before (ingredients) -and-after (food presentation) photos of yourself at each meal. Share and tag ACRES during your live feeds via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

Entrepreneurship :: Sales of Anything & Let s Have Fund! Ever wonder how it is to run a business? Try out this money-making experience! Group / class work As a local charity, ACRES depends on public donations to continue our mission to end animal cruelty in Asia. Your contribution makes a world of difference to animals. Set up a stall in school selling vegan food/ hand-made bookmarks/ key chains/ badges/ soft toys second hand story books etc during recess time and/or after school. After the sales, students can take back whatever they have spent on the items and the remainder of the proceeds will go to ACRES. The remainder of the sale items could be kept by the students or donated to ACRES. Students must get a receipt from the supplier and take down the number of items sold and amount raised. This ensures that all the funds raised are accountable. Tell peers about ACRES and how each could play a part to help the animals around the world. Optional: Pull-up banners about ACRES may be borrowed for display. Students must arrange transport to and fro to ACRES to collect and return banners. Extra 1 hour awarded if use ACRES pullup banners. 5-15 hours. It is compulsory for students to clock a minimum of 5 hours, which include doing own research on what ACRES does, planning, preparation on sales items, submission of proposal and reports. Students can clock a maximum of 15 hours, depending on their sales. Students can choose to do this experience in a day or in a span of a couple of days. Your efforts will be recognised if you take a screen shot of the activities you did during this fund-raising event and a half A4 report on your reflection on your experience. Please email your photos and report to us at info@acres.org.sg Early bird catches the worm. Plan and organise early. Familiarise yourself on what ACRES does. Submit a proposal to ACRES. Upon approval, collect donations among peers to have enough modal to start your business to help ACRES.

Environment :: Donation-in-kind Giving newspapers, paper boxes and other items a second chance! Individual / group / class work As a non-profit organisation, funding is needed all the time. To upkeep the rescue center, expenses can be high. Donated items collected will help to cut down the expenditures. It might not seem much but it makes a huge difference to ACRES. For every set of items collected, students would be awarded the hours allocated. If you are collecting the items as a group, hours will be divided among your peers.
