Lucus Christoffersen is an assistant professor at Idaho State University, teaching Adult Health nursing for undergraduate nurses, with the clinical components. He has been active in teaching certification courses and working as the past president for the Utah Emergency Nurses Association. Ahmet Butun obtained his master s degree from the University of Nottingham. His master s dissertation focused on why parents choose to use the emergency department for children presenting with minor illness. His master dissertation has been published in Internation Emergency Nursing. Ahmet is currently a PhD student at Queen s University Belfast and his research project seeks to identify parental reasons for visiting ED, rather than their primary healthcare providers, in the context of developing countries Heidi Martin is a passionate forensic nurse with a strong foundation in ED psychiatric nursing. She has built on her career by working as an ED nurse in a level one trauma center and expanded to forensics to address the needs of this population. She also likes kitties and coffee. Catherine is a PhD (Education) candidate at Trinity College Dublin. Her thesis is focusing on the influencing factors pertaining to higher education uptake among emergency nurses in Ireland. She has extensive clinical experience in emergency nursing. Mr. Bajjali recently has submitted a research paper for his MSc in pediatric nursing from Al Quds University School of nursing. He had 3 years' experience in pediatric field, currently he works as registered nurse at pediatric cardiac surgery ICU at Al Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem. Kimberly Richardson is a Bereavement Speaker and the Founder of Widows of Opportunity, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization based in Columbia; SC. Kimberly lost her husband and founded Widows of Opportunity. Kimberly has hosted over 100 educational grief workshops worldwide. She has published numerous educational grief articles in magazines and newspapers. Kimberly had no idea her years as the founder of Widows of Opportunity combined with her love of the stage, would prepare her for something she really could get excited about speaking. She has spent years educating, motivating and inspiring audiences and has been featured on various events to share her story, life experiences and knowledge Debbie McCarthy completed the Bachelor of Social Work in year 2000, prior to this she was an enrolled nurse for 15yrs, during this period working in residential care facilities, palliative care and a brain injury unit. As a social worker she has been employed as a counsellor for Human Services Task Force in tissue retention, has worked in various inpatient wards. She has worked as the Flinders Medical Centre Emergency Department Social Work Team Coordinator for 12yrs, having extensive experience in crisis intervention and trauma counselling, she has also designed a number of resources for consumers and staff. Debbie established a training program for staff in the Emergency Department and post graduate nursing program and has been a guest speaker at various workshops in Adelaide. Hui Mei Huang is a head nurse in Surgery intensive care unit. She graduated from Tzu Chi University of Technology in Taiwan. She has worked in intensive care units for 18 years Janine Duran started her nursing career in 2007. Prior to that, she was working as an Account Executive in McCann Erickson World Group, a multinational advertising agency. She decided to move to the US, to pursue nursing and worked in SBH (St. Barnabas Hospital) as an ED nurse from 2008. In the last 4 years, she transitioned from charge nurse, nurse manager and ED nursing director. SBH is one of the busiest 911-receiving, Stroke, STEMI Trauma centers in the South Bronx. SBH caters to one of the poorest zip codes in the US. Through transformational leadership,multidisciplinary collaboration among all levels of Katherine completed her PhD at the age of 27 years from the University of Ulster, Coleraine, Northern Ireland. Her postdoctoral studies started at the University of Dundee in 2007, in Ninewells Hospital, on a Department of Health project studying the effects of radiation with additional parameters such as infection in an acute myeloid leukaemia model. She later worked at Trinity College Dublin on the clinical validation workpackage for the important EU FP7 funded sepsis diagnostics project ASCMicroPlat (http://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/97617_en.html), which started her learning in point-of-care technology. She is currently a research fellow at Queens University Belfast at the Centre for Cancer Research & Cell Biology on a project that utilises personalised medicine strategies for improving colorectal cancer treatment. She has key interest in the innovative application of point-of-care style technologies and personalised medicine in the critical care setting, in particular for sepsis and oncology patients. Rebekah J. Howerton Child completed her PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013. She is the Program Director and Chair of the Departmen tof Nursing for California State University, Northridge. She has published multiple papers and has presented numerous times regarding the experience of workplace violence in Emergency Departments. Heidi has completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. She has been a nurse for 29 years and has worked in many areas of bedside nursing, leadership, and nursing education. Gryan Garcia is an advanced practice registered nurse in Toronto, Canada. He obtained his Master of Science in Nursing focusing in aging and frailty in 2015 at the University of Phoenix, concurrently his Master of Science in Community Health focusing in wound care management at the University of Toronto in 2017. He is a certified geriatric nurse, emergency nurse, and psychiatric/mental health nurse by the Canadian Nurses Association, including a national certification as wound care consultant. His primary research interest are: geriatric medicine; geriatric emergency; advanced wound care; infection control; and public policy. Gryan has been involved to numerous quality improvement strategies in Canada such as falls prevention; assessment and management of delirium, dementia, and depression; management of aggressive behavior; and most recently in advanced wound care among the geriatric population in the Emergency Department. Bawa-Muhammad Taiwo Hassanat is a registered nurse with Nigeria Nursing and Midwifery Council. She received her Bachelor of Nursing Science from National Open University of Nigeria Lagos with second class upper. She is awaiting admission for her Master s in Public Health Nursing from John's Hopkins School of Nursing Baltimore and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is the present vice chairman of Federations of Local Government Nurses and Midwife Abuja Municipal Area Council branch Abuja, Federal Capital Territory Nigeria from April 2012. She is the nurse in charge of antenatal, postnatal, family planning and prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV/AID in Jahi I Primary Health Care clinic FCT Abuja Nigeria from 2012 July till date.
