We also decided when our next meeting would be. Pony Creek Our bowling fun night was a huge success! Club members and parents showed off their bowling skills and we had a great turn out. In May we had our regular meeting and completed our Adopt-A-Road cleanup. For our June meeting we will be completing fair registration forms and distributing buyer gifts to families. In addition, we will meet at a long-time 4-H leader s house to help with yard work and flower beds. Town & Country Maple Leaves - We met at the 4-H camp for our May meeting and worked together to put the dock in. We also made "thank you" jars for this year s auctions. Small Animal News Isabella County small animal members (goat, poultry, rabbit) are invited and encouraged to attend any and all of the showmanship clinics sponsored by the Small Animal Association. Information that is used during species-specific judging at the fair is shared, and it is a great time to ask questions. Rabbit tattooing is available at several of the clinics. Even if your club also offers a clinic, it would be very beneficial for members (and even leaders) to stop by the small animal barn during any of the dates listed below. If temperatures reach 85 degrees at 5:00 p.m. on any day a clinic is scheduled, the clinic will be cancelled and not rescheduled. We highly recommend members try to attend at least one of the earlier clinics in case the later dates are cancelled. Rabbit members need to attend at least one of the last three clinics offered for fair entry verification purposes. If you are unable to do so, please call Angie Coldwell (989-828-6229) after June 20. Page 3 Showmanship Clinic Dates (ALL clinics will be in the Small Animal Barn from 6:30 p.m. 7:45 p.m.) June 13, June 19, June 25, July 1 and July 12 Goat fitting will be done on July 13; please bring your own blades and/or clippers.
