(2) applicants accepted to undergo an assessment of their existing skills as a basis for certification. (3) final certifications issued to both those who have participated in a formal apprenticeship program and those who have challenged for the qualification based on existing skills. (4) Includes registered apprentices (regular apprentices and youth-apprenticeship program participants). (5) Data is from the BC Stats Apprenticeship Student Outcomes (APPSO) Survey and is the percentage of former apprenticeship students who had received their BC Certification and had a training-related occupation within 12 months (does not include those who achieved certification through challenge processes). The 2011 APPSO will be conducted with former apprenticeship students who completed the final year of their apprenticeship training in a B.C. post-secondary institution between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. (6) A weighted average of both apprenticeship and foundation program seat utilization, reflecting percent of ITA-funded seats filled by registered participants.
