Grand opening of new Hobbit s Glen Golf Club clubhouse, COHO Grill Columbia Association (CA) will celebrate the official opening of the new Hobbit s Glen Golf Club Clubhouse and COHO Grill with a grand opening event on Sunday, May 31, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m at the golf club, 11130 Willowbottom Drive, off Harpers Farm Road in west Columbia. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will precede the event and is scheduled to take place at 1:15 p.m. This free event is open to the public and will include a tour of the new clubhouse, contests throughout the afternoon, goodies and more. Kittleman, along with the Long Reach Village Board, has scheduled meetings to seek input from residents about the revitalization of the Long Reach Village Center. Additional sessions will be held from 7-9pm at Stonehouse in the Village Center on May 28, June 11 and September 17. Howard County Government acquired the majority of the Village Center property in October 2014 and purchased the former Safeway site in February 2015. KidsDay is open to the public; there s no need to sign up. This gala fundraiser is open to the public and will provide a professional appraisal by a gemologist and a generalist appraiser. The limit is two items per person.
