Under the direction of Master Food Volunteer Heather Hull, 4-H ers will cook a traditional Thanksgiving meal and serve to the community. This meal is FREE to all! PARENTS, this is a 4-H activity we could use some extra adult helpers if you would like to help cook with your child! Please invite friends, family members, and neighbors to attend the meal on Saturday, November 18, serving from 11:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. We will start meal preparation at 7:30 a.m. Please call 712-335-3103 or email Lisa at lzeman@iastate.edu to sign up to help no later than November 6. 2018 Citizenship Washington Focus June 14-23, 2018 The only details I have of the CWF trip is that the cost is $1700 per 4-H er and the dates are June 14-23. I will pass information along to you as I receive it. The ISU Extension and Outreach will support the families fundraising efforts this year. If you plan on attending CWF please email lzeman@iastate.edu or phone 712-335-3103, we will have an organizational meeting Wednesday, November 8, 5:30 p.m. to go over fundraising goals. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like information on fundraising please contact me. Adults, if you are interested in chaperoning the trip please let me know and I will get the application and information you need to you. Holiday Baking Workshop Saturday, December 2, 2017 8:00 a.m.-noon Pocahontas Area Family & Consumer Science Room Under the direction of Master Food Volunteer Heather Hull 4-H ers will have the opportunity to learn basic baking skills. We will make a pie from scratch and holiday treats. This workshop is limited to the first 12 4-H ers that have their registration form and payment turned in. Space is limited sign up as soon as possible with the deadline of November 22. Due to the generous support of the Pocahontas County 4-H Endowment the fee for this workshop is just $5 and participants will take their treats home with them.
