Dear families and friends Due to high dependency on staff for changing, and most residents with very limited joint flexibility; we are asking families to ensure that proper pajamas and/or night gowns are provided for your loved one. The adaptive clothing styles are preferred. Thank you, Barbara Dubanik Site Leader/Director of Care ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Laundry Our Laundry team is receiving items that are often left behind in common areas; it can be difficult to know who the item belongs to. It is recommended to label clothing and personal items to ensure they are returned to the rightful owner. Victoria Scriver Director of Support Services ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ July Family & Caregiver Support Group Wednesday July 11th at 2pm and Wednesday July 25th in the Boardroom If you are a family member or friend who has a loved one here at Fort Langley, please join us for a supportive and informative meeting. The focus of this group is to provide support to those who are caregivers and family members. Even if your loved one is at Fort Langley permanently you are still considered a caregiver. As part of my role here at Fort Langley Seniors Community I am responsible for the administration of respite admissions, permanent admissions as well as providing information about services to residents and their families (friends are included as family). I am also involved in support services to residents and families through one-on-one support, as well as providing education to staff and families. If you have any questions or would like to book a time to talk please contact me at 604-88-0711 ext. 129 Allister Murphy, BSW Social Worker

Happy Canada Day 151 years old July 1st 2018 (French: Fête du Canada) is the national day of Canada. A federal statutory holiday, it celebrates the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the Constitution Act, 1867, which united the three separate colonies of Canada, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick into a single Dominion within the British Empire called Canada. Originally called Dominion Day the holiday was renamed in 1982, the year the Canada Act was passed. Canada Day celebrations take place throughout the country, as well as in various locations around the world, attended by Canadians living abroad. Thank you!
