IMPORTANT EIS APPLICATION INFORMATION Project Eligibility Subject to the number and value of applications in any round, a subsidy of up to 50% may be approved for: Trunk charges such as, water supply, sewerage, storm water, roadways, environmental spaces. External infrastructure project work costs (examples below) The cost of INTERNAL pick-up and set-down areas for DEVELOPING schools, where circumstances dictate that the areas should be internal to the school site: o o Where the developing school has been operating for a period of less than 10 years, and/or Where inclusion of a new type of education results in that part of the school being classified as a developing. *Note that applications involving both trunk charges and project works will be treated as two (2) projects for the purposes of administering any future approved grants. Applications may be submitted to QIS BGA when: Trunk charges required by the local authority have been calculated, as resulting from approval of a development application or building application. External infrastructure project work required by the local authority, external to the school s boundary, has been fully costed with a schedule of costs prepared by professional consultants, such as an architect and/or engineer. An application for a local authority requirement to site a pick-up and set down area inside the boundary of a school will be accepted, as per the above. **Other infrastructure projects, i.e. those INTERNAL to the school site, even if a requirement of the documented EIS project, may be eligible for SCAS or CGP funding under the application process which closes in March/April of each year. External Infrastructure Project Work Examples External infrastructure project works generally fall into one of the following categories: Services Water supply, sewerage (consists of major trunk sewers, rising mains and pumping), storm water/drainage, fire service mains Transport Car parking external to the school site, passenger pick-up and set-down areas (including private vehicles, buses and taxis) external to the school site, acceleration/deceleration lanes, road widening, intersection channelisation, roundabouts, traffic signals, signage, line marking and lighting, bus stops, bus shelters, busway stations (major facilities located on Regional Busway Network), footpath and footpath widening, pedestrian crossing facilities, bicycle paths, bicycle storage areas (more likely to be assoc. with internal) and noise attenuation structures external to the site (e.g. timber fences) Streetscape Trees and other planting, mounding and planting beds, irrigation systems, disability access, features enhancing personal safety, signage, lighting, footpath treatments (walkways/cycleway and turf) and street furniture (seats and shelters) EIS 2018 Round Application Page 2

PART 2. PROPOSED PROJECT DETAILS A. PROJECT WORK- APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Supporting documentation must be submitted with an application for an external infrastructure project works subsidy: Evidence of the local government authority requirements, such as development conditions attached to an approved development application. Plans for the full extent of the project scope of works, inclusive of scale, dimensions etc. (NOTE- Drawings for an internal pick-up and set down area should be marked up to exclude any car parks and roads NOT ESSENTIAL for the purposes of pick-up and set down.) Documentation detailing costs associated with each element of the project works prepared by an architect and/or engineer, such as a formal schedule of costs. If the project the proposed project is less than $100,000 (i.e. minor works), at least three (3) current quotes. (NOTE- QIS BGA requires that approved project works over $100,000 will be subject to tender processes as per Australian Standard AS4120 Australian Standard Code of Tendering) PART 3. CONSENT TO PROVIDE AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE 1. The parties agree that for the purposes of the Electronic Transactions (Queensland) Act 2001 (Qld) (ETA), this application and any subsequent agreements relating to this grant may be signed by either party by electronic means through the use of digital signature which meets the following requirements: a) The signatory is identified by name. b) The signature is applied to the document using cryptographic methods. 2. This clause serves as each parties consent as required under the ETA. PART 4. DECLARATION 1. I declare that the details in this application form are correct and I acknowledge that, should the school receive a grant and it be proved that the details supplied in this application are incorrect; the grant may be forfeited at QIS BGAs and/or the Queensland State Government s discretion. 2.
