Dixie Area Business Association 2018 Scholarship Application
DABA Scholarship Criteria and Application Every year the Dixie Area Business Association awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors that show both academic promise and most importantly a dedication to community through volunteer community service. This scholarship of $1000, can be used for tuition, books, and academic fees at any accredited college or technical school. Scholarship Criteria 1: GPA of at least 2.5 2: Personal letter of recommendation from a mentor, guidance counselor, teacher, troop leader, employer, minister or someone other than family who can tell us about your good work in the community. 3: Only graduating seniors from the following local high schools can apply: Beth Haven, Butler, Doss, Holy Cross, PRP, Valley, Western 4: Completion of the attached Scholarship Application Application Requirements: 1. Completion of the attached Scholarship Application 2. Academic History completed by school administration with a sealed official transcript 3. Submit a typed short essay answering both essay questions, no more than 1000 words 4. Proof of community service through recommendation letter 5. Mail completed application by April 25, 2018 to: DABA Scholarship Committee P.O. Box 58263 Louisville, KY 40268 Scholarship winner will be announced at Class Day/Night and will be awarded to the individual recipient and the school that they will attend at the Dixie Area Business Association May meeting.
