Introduction Better Hearts Better Cities On April 26, 2018, the Novartis Foundation will announce their partnership with Instituto Tellus as local implementer for Better Hearts Better Cities in São Paulo. Other local partners are Sta. Marcelina, SOCESP, Move Social and the City of São Paulo. Their work will be complemented by global partners including the CDC Foundation, the American Heart Association, NCD Alliance, and the newly appointed partner Business Performance Institute (BPI), a learning consulting company who has started to work with partners in Ulaanbaatar to help develop innovative and impactful learning strategies for healthcare providers in the city. Photographs Taking photographs If you choose to take your own photos in your Better Hearts Better Cities location, you must first contact Kiara Barnes to obtain consent forms. Important information about consent All recognizable individuals (fewer than 5 individuals in frame) need to sign the Novartis Foundation consent form for the images to be used through Novartis and Novartis Foundation channels. Also please note on the form what the person is wearing, or any other distinguishable features (hair, expression, props) so that we can identify the individuals in the images. Scans and originals need to be sent to the Novartis Foundation. You should not use the photography in any personal portfolio without explicit permission from the Novartis Foundation. 8
Photographs Guidelines for photographs The Better Hearts Better Cities brand features a strong, bright color palette. Photographs are an integral part of the brand identity and should be similarly colorful. The tone of the majority of images should be positive and inspiring. Photographs might include people in the urban context; close-ups of objects; urban textures; non-communicable disease risk factors.
