Michigan ranks No. 4 in the nation for producing peaches. I hope you find these facts about peaches interesting: Peaches were first discovered in China. Michigan peach crops equal $13 million annually. One medium peach is only 37 calories and is a great source of vitamins A and C, and several B vitamins. To speed up the ripening process of a peach, place it in a brown paper bag for two to three days. The peach is part of the rose family. The pit of a peach is considered poisonous. Peaches are harvested during July and August. To peel a peach, drop the peach in boiling water for one minute, then drop it in cold water. The peel will slide right off. Community Info Rent Reminder RENT IS DUE BY THE 7th OF THE MONTH. A late rent fee of $25 WILL be assessed if it is not received by that date. This policy will be strictly enforced.
