The Club Buzz Message from Club Alliance Upcoming Events...1 Quote.....1 Talon Painting Party...2 Club Spotlight..4 #ClubLife..5 Student Government 6 Thanks to all who came out to the Talon Painting Party last Friday. The designs this semester were some of the best we have seen, and we loved watching your talons come to life. Upcoming Events We have our third General Body Meeting on Friday November 17 th, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium 58 W 2704. This meeting is mandatory for all clubs. You can send anyone from your club as a representative. The Club Showcase is an opportunity for clubs to present what they did during the summer and fall semesters. If you had any big events or went to a conference, be prepared to talk about it or show us some pictures! The Showcase will be on December 1 st and it will count as a mandatory general body meeting. Grab your ugly Christmas sweater and show us what you have been up to! Peace. Love. Club Spotlight The UNF Equestrian Club and Team was founded in 2010 and strives to promote outstanding academics, community service, school spirit, sportsmanship, and horsemanship. The club and team are dedicated to serving the University of North Florida and the Jacksonville area by providing opportunities for students to compete on a collegiate level and by giving back to the community. Their next home event is the Western show on February 3 rd - and is open to everyone! If you would like more information about this club, follow them on social media @unfequestrianteam. They are also active on their Facebook page so you can message them for more information or attend any of their meetings. -Romainique Tota Since it was founded, the team has competed in 10 shows per year. The team has been in the top five in their region in the last two years, and a member of their club has made it to Nationals. The club currently has 24 members between both their Hunt Seat and Western teams, but they are always looking for new riders! The Equestrian Team is a fun and easy way to get into horse shows, as well as a good way to meet new people, and there is no experience required to join. Page 4 of 6
