CRUNCH THOSE NUMBERS: * Majority of this section is based on approximate estimated figures For the business a total of $60,000 is aimed to be invested and this will be enough to cover the start-up costs and monthly expenses for the first quarter of the year of business operation. $30,000 of this sum will be sourced from the proprietor, $20,000 from a bank loan and $10,000 borrowed from family members. The rental property in St Kilda will require a lease deposit of $3000 and the total of rent required to be paid yearly is $ 27,600 which will be included in monthly expenses to pay this off. The property is already fitted with a kitchen and cooking equipment therefore only specific kitchen items will be required to be purchased prior to business operation. Most of the start-up costs are paid for only once which is at the beginning of business operation however some expenses will need to be renewed and maintained. Monthly expenses will vary slightly each month as some costs may be required or not such as maintenance. The costs mostly consist of bills for electricity, water and gas as well as supplies that 13
the café will require to continue operation. To project my revenue the money earned per hour was calculated then per day then per month. If these projections are accurate there will be an approximate of $96,640 per year. 14
