To have strong collaboration and co-operation with other professional societies within IEEE and outside IEEE at National and International levels, in promoting memberships, collaborative research and guidance in professional activities to sustain professionalism. 3. To encourage, promote and help in introduction of IEEE certification of professionalism in Green IT, Software/solution architecture, development and environmental protection etc. 4. Candidature Statement for Executive Vice Chair, Delhi Section Delhi Section has much more potential than its current level of activity in terms of professional events, good conferences, membership base and societal engagements. There is a specific need to work in the direction of improving higher education as well as school education. Industry professional also look up to IEEE for cutting edge skills. All this can be easily done with a young, vibrant, geographically and demographically distributed IEEE Delhi Section Executive. Section needs to be in proactive mode and need to optimally utilize resources. Being in Delhi, Section can make a lot more contribution in policy making framework of Govt of India. I look forward to your support to make it happen to improve your lives and of the next generation. Brief Bio Data Dr. Deepak Garg, SM, IEEE, has over 17 years of rich cross functional experience in teaching, research and administration. He is Ph.D. in computer science in the area of Efficient Algorithm Design for Bioinformatics Sequences. Currently, He is Head, Computer Science and Engineering Department, Thapar University, Patiala. He has 80 publications, Guided 8 PhD and 30 master students. He has executed few research projects. He has been Executive Member of Delhi Section and Member of various committees of IEEE Delhi Section from many years. He is chair, Steering Committee for IEEE International Conference on Advance Computing. He is chair, IEEE Computer Society Chapter, India Council. He is Chair, ACM SIGACT, North India.
