Spring ISD Career and Technical Education Department Scholarship Award Scholarship Overview Deadline: March 5, 2018 Award: $1,000.00 SPECIAL ACCOMPLISHMENT AWARD This award is given as recognition to a high school student who has overcome personal obstacles and has benefited significantly from his/her respective Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. The student s personal accomplishments in the individual CTE program should be judged to be exemplary with respect to his/her own capabilities. Consideration should be given to personal dedication, progress and special accomplishment. OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD This award is given as recognition to a high school student who has made significant contributions to his/her respective Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Consideration will be given to those applicants who demonstrate strong leadership, attendance, attitude and scholarship. Eligibility: All nominees must Be a senior graduating in May 2018 Have completed a minimum of three CTE courses in their chosen career pathway and earned credit for the courses Have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (Special Accomplishment) or 3.0 (Outstanding Student) A complete application packet consists of: Application (attached): Must be completed and neatly printed (blue or black ink only) or typed. Incomplete applications will result in an immediate disqualification. Personal Essay: This letter of persuasion must be one page and typed using a 12-point font and double spacing Letters of Recommendation: Submit at least two letters of recommendation; one letter must be completed by a CTE teacher.
