Suzanne Gehl, MD, Paladina Health Dr. Suzanne Gehl is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician with twenty-three years of clinical experience. Dr. Gehl received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986 and completed her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals three years later. Since completing her residency, Dr. Gehl has spent the past decade working with the Medical College of Wisconsin in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Gehl helped educate residents and medical students, focusing on geriatric care. She also served five years as a member of the Advisory Council for Community Faculty Excellence. In 2010, Dr. Gehl expanded her credentials by obtaining an added Certificate of Qualification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She has been the Co-Medical Director of Horizon Home Care and Hospice for seven years and became the Medical Director for Horizon Hospice Inpatient Unit in 2010. Throughout her career Dr. Gehl has maintained a number of administrative appointments. She has held several local and regional leadership positions and is currently the President-Elect of the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Gehl has contributed to several national publications and has lectured extensively. She has been acknowledged for her professional practice and has been recognized as one of America s Top Doctors in both 2007 and 2008. She has also received consecutive annual listing in Best Doctors in America since 2007. Dr. Gehl enjoys working with people and chose a career in medicine to optimize the health of individuals and families. In her practice, Dr. Gehl motivates patients to make gradual changes that will build healthy lifestyles long term. She believes good health is a team effort between the patient, the family, the community, and the healthcare team. Rebecca Walker, RN Rebecca Walker is a Registered Nurse with a wide array of experience in the health and wellness field. She has a B.A. in Health and Exercise Science, with a specialization in Health Promotion and Health Education from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, as well as an Associate Degree in Nursing from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord, NC. Rebecca has 5 plus years of experience in the clinical and wellness arena. She has worked as a Health and Wellness Event Coordinator, served as a Provider Liaison for onsite clinics, facilitated Health Risk Screenings all over the United States, as well as provided Health Coaching, both telephonically and onsite. Recently she has worked as a Registered Nurse on a surgical floor at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Rhonda Lockhart, HR Director Rhonda Lockhart is Director of Corporate Human Resources for Spartanburg, South Carolina-based J M Smith Corporation, the state s third-largest privately held corporation. With roots in the pharmaceutical business, J M Smith now has five subsidiary companies serving the healthcare and other industries, with sales exceeding $1 billion annually. Lockhart joined JMS at the division level in 1993 and was promoted to the Corporate HR position in 2000. Her responsibilities include all companywide HR policies and procedures, all benefits programs, and payroll administration for a workforce of 1,200 employees across 34 states. The company s award-winning Wellness Program is one example of innovative HR initiatives developed under Lockhart s leadership. Lockhart previously spent 13 years as an HR generalist for Phillips Petroleum. She earned her Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Lockhart was president of the SC Human Resources Association and remains involved at state and local levels. Recently, she was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Greenville Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Rhonda is a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg, an invitation-only program to develop business and community leaders. She is a board member for the United Way of the Piedmont and Spartanburg s Partners in Active Living and a member of the Mary Black Hospital System s Woman s Advisory Group. Rhonda enjoys cooking classes and practicing her culinary arts for very willing friends and neighbors.
