Come enjoy traditional music, storytelling, dance, cultural demonstrations, and festival cuisine. Julia Bogany, a Gabrieleño/Tongva elder, is a member of the San Gabrieleño Band of Mission Indians and serves as their cultural affairs consultant. She is a member of the California Indian Basket Weavers Association and serves on several committees and organizations, including the Chaffy College Equity Council, Pomona Human Relations Board, and California Indian Education Association. She is the Riverside School District Native American consultant and is president of Residential Motivators. Bogany has years of training in child development, Indian child welfare, and Native American studies. She has worked for over 20 years for her community and for her tribe and is also part of the Tongva language revitalization program. Bogany has demonstrated many years of outstanding service to Native Americans and the community at large, including people who are homeless, rape victims, and women s groups...
