When I think about the seniors moving on to begin their journey as young Catholic adults, I know they have been well prepared in both their faith and education to face their upcoming challenges. And, we will miss them. The 2015 graduating students were special intelligent, funny, kind and giving. It is also exciting as we prepare for the upcoming school year. Our student body continues to grow. Our students continue to achieve high academic success. Our faculty continues to create a dynamic learning environment for our students. And, last but not least, our parents, parish family and alumni all continue to provide us with support to carry on the tradition of St. Anthony High School. Greg Fearday SAHS Principal As our summer gets into full swing, we have many volunteers preparing the school and grounds for our annual church picnic. You will notice an amazing new feature that is currently underway by our track - a new pavilion. This new pavilion will provide overhead shelter from the weather during outdoor sporting events, handicap accessible restrooms, and gathering space for school, parish and family events. I am very grateful for everyone who gives of their time and resources to help enhance our school programs and facility. I invite you to the parish picnic to check out our wonderful addition! On April 11, 2015, over 230 people attended our Hall of Fame Induction Celebration at the Effingham Knights of Columbus. Pastor Fr. Chris Brey presented our new inductees: Nicholas Dust ( 57), Sherri Bourgeois, Ron Kabbes ( 56), and Jack Nisbet with their awards. In addition, we recognized fifteen of our past inductees that were in attendance that evening. Scott Kabbes ( 79) was our MC for the event and kept us laughing all night. We were honored to have former pastor, Msgr. Leo Enlow, and former priest, Fr. Chuck Edwards, join us in the celebration. The Hall of Fame was started in 2008 with the intent to honor those individuals who serve as role models for our students, as well as recognize those who contribute to the success of St. Anthony Parish and Schools. Please mark your calendar for next year s event which will be held on April 9, 2016 at the Keller Convention Center. Our goal is to have over 400 in attendance at next year s celebration. We would love to see more of our out-of-town alumni join us in this fun evening of parish fellowship. We will be seeking nominations for our 2015 Hall of Fame Class this fall. Information will be available on our parish website at that time, at www.stanthony.com/halloffame. 2014 Hall of Fame Inductees Honorees (L to R): Fr.
