Submitted FY-04 proposals for ESTCP funding! Reviewed and commented on Y-0817 project status for MEC degradation and MC fate & effects 5 IR Conference

MR Workgroup in 2003 (continued)! Served as technical review committee for the CECOS Munitions Response Site Management course offering! Exchanged information and lessons learned on current projects, policies, and procedures for munitions cleanup! Held a joint meeting with the ACOE Munitions Center of Expertise, Huntsville, AL and attended ACOE Munitions Safety Standdown! Participated on ITRC UXO workgroup to develop standard guidance documents 6 IR Conference

Reviewed and commented on draft Preliminary Assessments! Established Core Competency Subcommittee to look at needs for NAVFAC! Established Scope of Work Subcommittee to review scopes, data item descriptions! Reviewed and Commented on NOSSA safety guidance related to MEC 7 IR Conference

Mare Island Naval Shipyard! Geophex began work this summer under fixed price contract! Missed meeting the geophysical prove out requirements by 1 target! Allowed to continue had difficulties transitioning from Dem/Val to full scale! Production rates much slower than expected! Navy had to provide a lot of oversight assistance! Lesson Learned underwater needs more attention 11 IR Conference

NSWC White Oak! Many shapes on site believed to be inert! NAVEODTECHDIV had ongoing R&D project with PELAN! Combined PELAN R&D with BRAC requirements! Other Innovative technologies!waterjet to cut inert shapes!blast chamber to dispose of small items! Successfully completed project in Dec03 12 IR Conference
