SDAP award levels will be determined by OIC PRDO upon completion of appropriate training and fundamental role in support of mission execution (admin support: SD-4, direct support: SD-4, operators: SD-6). SD-6 authorized for Master Targeting Operators at UIC 47128 only. SDAP is awarded to the following three qualified positions at DTRA: Escort, Linguist, or Inspector. Entitlement should commence upon qualification as determined by DTRA. Award levels designated by the office of the secretary of defense as detailed in White House memorandum dated May 3, 2012. Authorized for sailors selected from Recruit Training Command (RTC) to serve in the Navy Ceremonial Guard prior to A-School. Guardsmen must maintain qualifications to be eligible. Command Senior Chiefs (CSC) and Command Master Chiefs (CMC) are only authorized SDAP while assigned to 9580 or 9578 billets, must hold the 9580 or 9578 NEC, and must be designated in writing by the Commanding Officer as the CSC or CMC. Submarine Chief of the Boat (COB- 9579) personnel are only authorized SDAP while assigned to a 9579 billet onboard a submarine and must hold the 9579 NEC. CMC/CSC are authorized SDAP while serving as a precommissioning unit (PCU) CMC/CSC and while assigned to the PCU detachment. Only one CMC/CSC billet is authorized SDAP per PCU. A copy of the CMC/CSC s orders along with the CO s endorsement must be submitted to COMNAVPERSCOM (PERS 81) to verify eligibility. Refer to OPNAVINST 1306.2G, Command Master Chief Program for further information. NEC 9578, 9579, or 9580 holders assigned to Command Leadership School (UIC 31697) are authorized SDAP while serving as instructors. 2
