Summary: In this field trip we participate student members of the SEG UNMSM Perú, SEG UNAL Colombia and SEG UCE Ecuador. We visited the strategic mining projects of Ecuador like: FRUTA DEL NORTE (low-intermediate sulfidation epithermal deposit) and MIRADOR (porphyry Cu-Mo deposit) in the Zamora province, EL DOMO (volcanic massive sulphide deposit) in the Bolívar province, LOMA LARGA (high sulfidation epithermal deposit) in the Azuay province and the mining district ZARUMA- PORTOVELO, which consists of a system of polymetallic hydrothermal veins. Field Trip Leaders: Msc. Marcelo Llerena, Msc. William Arteaga and Msc. Israel Sangay and Evelyn Caiza (President SEG Student Chapter UCE-FIGEMPA) Numbers of participants: SEG-UNMSM Student Members (7 participants), SEG-UNAL Student Members (6 participant) and SEG-UCE Student Members (10 participants) Benefits for students: know the type of deposit, the methods of exploration used, future plans of the deposit, characteristics of the surrounding geological terrain and social aspects. In addition, drill core observation and logging was carried out. Fig. 3 Visit to the mining project EL DOMO
