GENERAL INFORMATION Intended Audience: Physicians, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurse Midwives, Women s Health Care Providers. Educational Objectives: Upon completion of this program, the learner should be able to: Discuss novel findings arising from the Ovarian Cancer Moon Shot Program. Describe the management of cancer in pregnancy. Discuss how to be an OB/Gyn advocate in today's political climate. Explain targeted therapy options in endometrial cancer. Recognize novel updates in cytoreduction surgery for ovarian cancer. Discuss how to implement current ideas from research projects into clinical practice. Discuss novel findings with the function of platelets in cancer. Explain different options for fertility preservation for those with cancer. Registration Fees The fee is $325 for physicians and $150 for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners and allied health care professionals. Adjunct faculty and retired physicians may register for $100. All fees include registration, instruction and educational materials, CME and CEU recording, evening reception, continental breakfast, refreshment breaks and lunch. While registration is open until the start of the conference, we encourage early registration to enable us to provide the best possible service to participants. Continuing Education Credit The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physician: The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. ARNP: 0.78 CEUs [7.8 contact hours] will be granted by UI Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing (IBN Approved Provider #34). Participants must attend the entire program to receive full credit. Special Events A pre-conference meet and greet with Dr. Sood and University of Iowa Faculty, and Dr. Gellhaus to celebrate his ACOG presidency will be held Thursday, November 9, at 6:00 pm at the Marriott Coralville Hotel & Conference Center. On Friday, November 10, the Iowa Alumni Society will meet at 1:00 pm and the Iowa ACOG Section Meeting will be at 4:15 pm. Parking Parking is available in the ramp adjacent to the hotel at prevailing rates. Housing Participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations and may do so by contacting the Coralville Marriott at (319) 688-4000, or any hotel in the Iowa City area.
