Quality Improvement Experience UKAS /ISO 15189 Cheshire Pathology services is a collaboration between east Cheshire NHS trust and Mid Cheshire NHS trust, I have been the clinical lead and Laboratory director since December 2013, since then all disciplines have achieved CPA and UKAS accreditation, one of the first few laboratories in the UK to have achieved in the first inspection following the introduction of UKAS and ISO. Microbiology modernization and service transformation Actively led on a microbiology service transformation, including combining two laboratories on a single site which has led to improved efficiency better turn around times and improved resilience. Microbiology service is now provided on a single site for two acute trusts and primary care for Cheshire.
