The host hotel is the Courtyard by Marriott, located at 142 Library Drive, Houma, LA. Their phone number is (985) 223-8996. The room rate is $99.00 plus tax for a Standard King/Double. YOU MUST MAKE YOUR ROOM RESERVATION BY NOVEMBER 23 TO GET THE GROUP RATE. Just ask for the Knights of Columbus rate. The State Council will reimburse State Family Members for one night ($99 plus tax) and mileage to the hotel. The mileage rate is 32 cents per mile round trip. If a State Family Member has to travel more than 250 miles one way, we will reimburse for two nights stay. District Deputies will be reimbursed by Supreme. You will need to fill out an expense form and turn the form in to either the State Secretary or State Treasurer. They will go over the expenses then give them to me for approval. I will forward the DD expense reports to Supreme for payment and process the rest of the State Family for reimbursement. Our training sessions will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday with a Rosary. The General Session will open at 8:30 a.m. Ladies entertainment will be provided later that morning. Lunch on Saturday will be provided at the hotel. Mass will be on Saturday evening at 4:00 and will be at the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales located at 500 Goode Street, Houma, LA 70360. Following mass, the Banquet will be held starting at 5:30 at the hotel. The cost for guests and spouses is $85.00, which includes Lunch, Banquet, and Breakfast on Sunday morning. Dress for the meeting will be KC Shirts and slacks at all events except for the Mass and Banquet. The dress for the Mass and banquet is coat and tie. Ladies should dress for a Sunday Mass. In closing, I am excited about the how the fraternal year has been going so far, and I m looking forward to finishing off this year strong!
