Are you taking entrepreneurial action to create positive impact in the world? You could be our next Oxford MBA Skoll Scholar!

The Skoll Scholarship provides full funding plus a living stipend to complete the one-year Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Oxford s Saïd Business School. This Scholarship is provided by the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford Saïd. 2 Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship

www.skollscholarship.org 3

Why apply? Receive exclusive opportunities to meet world-renowned entrepreneurs, thought-leaders, and investors Gain professional, leadership, and business skills Take your social impact to the next level Become part of the Skoll Scholar Alumni Community, a group of change makers who are positively impacting the world through entrepreneurial action and systems change 4 Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship

You are eligible if You are taking entrepreneurial action to create positive impact. You have spent preferably at least three years driving change, for example you could have started or grown a social venture; led the expansion of a social impact initiative within an organisation; or been tackling a specific social/environmental issue, through a core thread that unites your work. You are creating impact with a focus on systems change and you can demonstrate the outcomes and impact. You embody the personal qualities of a social entrepreneur, for example, bias towards action, persistence, resourceful, willingness to take risks, and have a deep understanding of the problem you are trying to solve. You can demonstrate why the Oxford MBA is critical to your career trajectory in helping to develop your work/ impact at this stage. You have the financial need, as the cost of programme would be a significant financial burden due to previous work experiences or personal circumstances. www.skollscholarship.org 5

Without the Scholarship, none of the things that I m working on now would have been possible. Through the MBA programme I met my co-founder, gained the tools to start my own enterprise, and strengthened my self-esteem to drive it forward. The support of the Scholar Community has given me a broader social impact network, which has proved valuable in pursuing other impact opportunities. Macarena Hernandez de Obeso, Skoll Scholar 2016-17 6

The skills of the MBA and the network of Skoll Scholars were critical in my ability to make a major career transition from non-profit leadership to for-profit social enterprise leadership. My new company was looking for impact funding and through the Skoll Scholar network and the Skoll World Forum we quickly developed traction with funders. Any Thornton, Skoll Scholar 2011-12 7
