SOME FACTS & FIGURES ABOUT CANTON OF VAUD 3 rd biggest canton in Switzerland 800 000 inhabitants / 32% of foreign residents (175 nationalities) More than 37,000 companies and 360,000 jobs GDP 2015 in CHF billions = 50 ; Switzerland (CH billions) = 600 Average annual GDP growth = + 2.2% ; CH = +1.9% A net job creation rate of 1.9% per year since 2001 (+ 70,000 new jobs) Exports : +7.8% per year since 2002 (CH = + 4.0%)
