Acted as a preceptor for new nurses who required a comprehensive orientation to the unit. Acted as a faculty mentor for students who were taking Leadership in Contemporary Nursing by facilitating their clinical practice with an assigned preceptor within selected health care institutions, as well as conducted ongoing group discussions related to leadership and managerial concepts. 1996-2000 The Johns Hopkins Home Care Group, Baltimore, MD Home Care Admissions Coordinator, Pediatrics at Home Coordinated home care for pediatric patients who required one or all of the following: skilled nursing, durable medical equipment, infusion therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutritional therapy, and/or social work. Negotiated costs of cares with insurance companies and international agencies as well as obtaining authorization for services.

Assigned patients to field staff for the following day and acted as the Pediatric Administrator On Call after office hours to assist in any patient care issues and/or administrative issues.
