Senior Update Week of February 1 st * The Rhode Island Society of Professional Engineers The organization is once again sponsoring its annual scholarship program. This is for seniors, who wish to pursue a college career in engineering. Applications are available in the college counseling office. They must be completed and submitted no later than March 20 th. * The Greenwich Bay Women s Club Scholarship The organization is sponsoring scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000.00. Preference will be given to seniors who are residents of East Greenwich, Warwick, or North Kingstown. Other criteria includes community service/volunteer work. Applications are available in the college counseling office. They must be completed and submitted no later than March 27 th. 1
* Westerly-Pawcatuck Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Scholarship The organization is once again sponsoring its annual scholarship program. To be eligible for consideration, the applicant must be a relative of a Westerly-Pawcatuck Friendly Sons of St. Patrick member. Applications are available in the college counseling office. They must be completed and submitted no later than March 27 th. New England Institute of Technology The college is offering two different scholarship opportunities for seniors planning on attending the school. Essay competitions are being offered for students with an interest in automotive technology and also one for technology. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,000.00. Applications, and essay guidelines are available in the college counseling office. The essays must be completed and submitted no later than April 5 th. 2
MakeYourJob.org The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship is sponsoring scholarships ranging up to $7,500. The program involves: choosing an industry (there are hundreds to select from on the website), create a product or service, curate content to tell the story of the business, submit the innovation. Wilson Memorial Scholarship The Narragansett-Cooke-Gaspee DAR is sponsoring this $1,000.00 scholarship. Students must be a resident of either Narragansett or South Kingstown. Other criteria include community service/volunteer work, and strong academics. Applications are available in the college counseling office. They must be completed and submitted no later than March 25 th. George Coleman Scholarship This scholarship is due no later than March 10 th. The Bank of America Joe Martin Scholarship This is for students who are dependents of an individual who are worked at the Bank of America for at least one year. The awards range from $1,000 to $5,000.00. Awards are based on academic achievement, leadership, community service/volunteer work, and character.
