SAT Registration (www.collegeboard.org) Test Date: December 7, 2013 Deadline: November 8, 2013 Late Registration: November 22, 2013 ACT Registration (www.actstudent.org) Test Date: December 14, 2013 Deadline: November 8, 2013 Late Registration: November 9-22, 2013 Early College Program Essex Community College What? The deadline was Friday, November 1 st. We will be informing students of their application status by Monday, November 11 th. SENIOR CENTER Senior conferences began on Monday, September 23 rd. Students should sign up in their counselor s office for an appointment. All seniors are required to have a senior meeting. Priority will be given to students who have early application deadlines. It is necessary to provide 10 working days notice prior to the first transcript and recommendation letter being sent. If only a transcript is needed this should be noted on the orange card and we will complete the request in a reasonable period of time. The 10 day notice is not in effect when only a transcript is requested. Reminder: Rutgers University does not require or want a transcript or recommendation letter. Students self report grades. Please inform the appropriate Guidance Secretary when Rutgers applications have been submitted.

SCHOLARSHIPS US JCI Senate Scholarship - Each year $1,000. Grants will be awarded to high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited colleges, universities or vocational schools. Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program - $1000 to the winners for this annual scholarship from Abbott and Fenner Business Consultants. Dorsey Scholars Program at McDaniel College Colleges most elite scholarship competition for students that maintain a 3.5 GPA and live on campus all four years. Minimum academic criteria for applicants is a 1400 combined SAT (critical reading/math only) and an unweighted GPA of 3.8-4.0. The deadline aligns with January 1, 2014 regular decision deadline.
