WHY STARTUP EUROPE? Our VP JOIN THE MOVEMENT Our Value Proposition (VP): "Uniting European startup ecosystems. Three specific VPs for target constituencies: VP FOR STARTUPS Connecting startup ecosystems throughout Europe to help startups: Find skilled employees wherever they are in the EU. Access the right combination of finance throughout EU. Grow across borders. VP FOR NATIONAL/REGIONAL INITIATIVES AND POLICY MAKERS A bottom-up "movement" to Europeanise local and regional initiatives throughout Europe. Not replacing the existing activities with new EU initiatives, on the contrary to ensure that existing networks are part of the right European and global networks of startups and investors to help local startups to continue growing. STARTUP EUROPE ACTIVITIES EU NETWORKS OF ECOSYSTEM BUILDERS The MOOCs for web talent network aims to connect MOOC providers in order to foster the talent of ICT and web entrepreneurs, and create new jobs that benefit both the European economy and society as a whole. The Accelerator Assembly is a European network that connects accelerators, entrepreneurs and policy makers, in order to strengthen the support offered to web startups across Europe. 06

STARTUP EUROPE ACTIVITIES GIVING VOICE TO STARTUPS TO INFLUENCE NEW POLICIES 2013: Startup Manifesto launched by the Leaders club and VP Neelie Kroes. > 8000 online signatures on www.startupmanifesto.eu 2014: The movement gained momentum with national manifestos: 2015: The written manifestos have been taken up by some governments to change the National legislation (Belgium for example) and thus they will have a positive impact upon the local entrepreneurial scene. 2016: In the future we have to ensure that the actions are implemented, reassessed and modified so they are most effective. 09
