The Association - Brazil (UNAB/ANUBRA) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1998. Its main objective is to narrow the bonds of collaboration between Brazilians and the (UN). Affiliated with the World Federation of Associations (WFUNA) - United Nation's civil arm, ANUBRA strives for sustainability through projects and programs in national and international scales. ANUBRA works to engage the Brazilian population into the work and principles of the as well as creating awareness to recent international affairs.
Fórum das Américas is an independent institution, founded in 1978, dedicated to the discussion of the main issues in the Americas pertaining to human rights, democracy, environmental challenges and free trade. Fórum das Américas organized a wide range of seminars, international conferences and books signings. It helped in the organization of The and Society in the Threshold of a New Millennium event, in 1998, where UN former Secretary-General Kofi Annan was the main speaker and gathered the most important leaders of the Brazilian society.
