(d) The facility of online application will be opened on 05/05/2014 and closed on 30/05/2014. 2. In case of huge response to any post, the screening will be restricted to those with higher percentage of marks and more experience or a screening test of the eligible candidates will be conducted in order to shortlist the candidates to be called for the interview.

3. Candidates will be called for technical interview based on their academic and professional qualifications and experience in the relevant field. Final selection will be based on the performance in the interview. 4. Selected candidates, on their appointment, will be governed by the New Contributory Pension Scheme as notified by Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India vide Notification No. F.No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dtd. 22/12/2003. 5. Reservation as per rules will be applicable. 6. Posting of the selected candidates would be at the discretion of the competent authority as per the availability of vacancies. They are liable to be posted to any of the Units of BARC located in India or to a part of India in any constituent units of Department of Atomic Energy. 7. The candidates called for interview from outstation will be paid to and fro rail fare by SECOND CLASS/ SLEEPER or actual fare whichever is less. 8. Age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/regular Government servants working in posts which are in the same line and 3 years for OBC candidates not belonging to creamy layer. 8(a) The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for the receipt of the applications from candidates in India (other than those in Andaman and Nicobar Islands & Lakshadweep). 8(b) SC and ST certificate should be issued by authorized authority in the prescribed format and the caste/community should have been included in the Presidential Orders in relation to the concerned state. 8(c) OBC certificate should be issued by authorized authority in the prescribed format with noncreamy layer certificate and the caste/community should have been included in the Central lists of Other Backward Caste. The crucial date for determining the OBC non-creamy layer certificate will be the closing date of on-line application. OBC for the purpose of age relaxation and reservation shall mean persons of OBC categories not belonging to creamy layer as defined in Government of India, DoPT OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 08/09/1993 and modified vide Government of India, DoPT OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt(Res) dated 09/03/2004. 9. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1 st day of January 1980 to 31 st day of December, 1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules. Certificate regarding proof of residence any person intending to avail of this relaxation of age limit admissible under rule 3 shall submit a certificate from: the Dist. Magistrate in the Kashmir division within whose jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided; or any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1 st day of January, 1980 to the 31 st day of December, 1989. 9(a) Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots. 10. BARC reserves the right to reject or accept the candidature of any applicant at any stage. 11. BARC reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify/alter the recruitment process, if need arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason therefore. 3

12. The vacancies shown above are provisional and subject to variation. The filling up of vacancies indicated in the advertisement is also subject to the approval of Competent Authority and may not be filled up if decided otherwise in terms of the orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. In addition to the vacancies indicated in this advertisement, the future vacancies and also vacancies in other units of DAE, which may arise after formation of the panel, will also be filled from the waitlist panel prepared from this advertisement till the validity period of the panel. 13. Candidates must ensure that they fill in the correct information. Candidates who furnish false information will be disqualified for screening test/interview. 14. A non-refundable application processing fee of `250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) is chargeable from applicants. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, dependents of defence service personnel killed in action, persons with physical disability and women candidates are exempted from payment of this fee. Persons with physical disability should produce necessary certificate from Govt. Hospital/Medical Board in support of their claim. For payment of the application fee, the candidate may download the three fold challan from the website : www.barcrecruit.gov.in and make the payment in any branch of the State Bank of India. After making payment in the bank, the portion of Institution copy should be produced along with the application form at the time of interview. 15. Persons working in the Central/State Government/Public Sector Undertaking should submit a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer at the time of interview. 16. Appointment for all the posts is subject to successful medical examination by the Department. 17. Before applying for the post, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfill all the eligibility norms. The candidates should possess the prescribed Educational qualifications from a recognized University/Institution as on the closing date of submission of the application. 18. Period of experience (where applicable) will be reckoned as on closing date of submission of on-line application. 19. The candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC should clearly indicate the same in the application (even if they apply against Un-Reserved posts) and should submit proof of the same in the prescribed format at the time of interview failing which they will be treated as unreserved and subsequent representations for the change of community status will not be entertained.. Note: In case Universities award letter grades/cgpa/ogpa the same will have to be indicated as equivalent percentage of marks as per the norms adopted by that University. In the absence of the same the candidature will not be considered. WARNING: Applications which are not in conformity with the requirements will be rejected. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates not selected for written test/interview/appointment.
